What does it mean to be a “Certified Green Company”?
- Because we care deeply about our neighborhood, the environment, and our impact to the carbon footprint; we have made a commitment to creating a healthier, cleaner workplace
- We purchase recycled paper for our office and order business cards made from recycled paper
- We attempt to not introduce new packaging into the supply chain, and reuse packaging boxes, internal paper, padding and plastic bags whenever possible. So it’s quite likely that you’ll see old newspapers and other materials as described used for internal padding and protection.
- All non reusable materials are recycled in other manners which meet “green standards” (such as things such as ink cartridges, batteries, cans, bottles, etc.)
- We strive to save electricity by implementing “turn off the lights” and “turn off the computers” when not in use.
What difference does it make to me that you’re a “Green Business”?
- Supporting Green Businesses promotes environmentally responsible practices, making all of our communities greener.
- Green Businesses are recognized for complying with environmental regulations and taking extra steps to conserve energy and water, reduce waste and prevent pollution.
What does “Repurpose” mean?
- By many definitions, this means taking an item originally intended for one use (or purpose) and using it for something else before it goes through any breakdown and/or reformation.
- This also includes giving the original item a new purpose before it is eventually recycled.
- Examples of this include creating jewelry using: buttons off of a garment; hardware such as nuts, washers, cotter pins, etc.; scrabble tiles and much, much more.
What are “Vendor Supplies”?
- These are jewelry beads, findings, materials, supplies, etc. that have not been made into pieces of jewelry yet
- These are available for purchase via submission of a bid/offer for any group of items as listed (my preference is to sell a group in whole for ease of sale/purchase)
- Purchaser is expected to pay for shipping and handling; and can specify their preferred shipping method
- Once a bid/offer has been accepted, payment is to be made using PayPal
- All “Vendor Supplies” sales will be considered final
